Career Ideas

The undergraduate academic program will contribute significantly to the shaping of your professional future. However, your concentration program title should not necessarily be confused with your eventual job title! Remember that the educational training you receive in the Biological Sciences is useful in many other seemingly unrelated fields. Having knowledge about our natural world is relevant to all of its inhabitants. More specifically, learning to read critically, analyze information, question phenomena and think experimentally are all qualities applicable in almost every professional endeavor! Nevertheless, a popular question posed by students is "What can I do with my Biology degree?" What follows is a sampling, by no means complete, of careers possible with various amounts of graduate and/or specialty training.
