Research Summary

The role of p53 in alcoholic (ALD) and non-alcoholic (obesity-associated) fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
Both diseases are characterized by hepatocellular apoptosis, oxidative stress, insulin resistance and steatosis (excess fat accumulation).
