Research Summary

My research is on the evolution of ungulates (hoofed mammals) in relation to changing patterns of climate and environment over the past 20 years. I work both with functional morphology (mainly analysing measurements of skeletons) and with patterns of community structure.

Past or Present Projects Available:

Evolution of kangaroo locomotion; Functional morphology of the shoulder in small mammels; Vertebrate anatomy and evolution: examining vertebrate evolution from phytogenetic and comparative biology perspective; Evolutionary significance of distal femur asymetry in mammals; The relative roles of active intercostal musculature, passive intercostal musculature, and passive join mechanics ribs in costal respiration in Iguana; Anatomy and Function of the Pharyngeal Jaw System in Grass Carp Ctenopharyngodon idella
